You have found Briar Mountain Farm. We are a small family farm located in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Our farm is located in southwestern Virginia and with in short driving distance to North Carolina, Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Blacksburg. We are about 3 - 6 hours from West Virginia,Tennessee, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Maryland, and Ohio. We raise, sell, and breed registered Purebred Nubian Dairy Goats and AKC Registered Anatolian Shepherds. At Briar Mtn Farm we strive to produce goats that excel in milk production, have a wonderful disposition and also with good conformation to have the ability to compete and win in Dairy Goat Shows. In 2011 we decided to purchase a new herd sire from Holly Buroker, owner of Hoanbu Dairy Goats. For our junior herd sire we selected *B Hoanbu ATL Galveston ( CH *B Wingwood Farm Finding Atlantis x SGCH Hoanbu Status Gillette Gahanna 6*M ). While there and after some discussion, there arose an opportunity to purchase two 3 year old Nubian milkers from her. We were so excited to get the chance to purchase SG Hoanbu EXOD Summer Secret 2*M and Hoanbu KFE Easy as Pie 2*M. In previous years, we purchased several Nubian Dairy Goats from Jean Lucas, owner of Kismet Nubians. Our senior herd sire is Kismet Operator's in Scharge ( Kismet Marvins Smooth Operator x Kismet Mandrill Shasta ). The does that we have purchased from Jean Lucas are Kismet Klover, Kismet Kameo's Xclusive Koffee, and Kismet Smooth Operator's Sky. Our herd also consists of bloodlines from Kastdemur , Cherry Hill and Longman. We also make and sell goat's milk soap and lotion and organic lip balm. Two years ago we expanded our product line to include bath salts, gift baskets for all occasions, and bath fizzies (which has now become our most popular item).
