Above you will find our breeding schedule. Planned breedings are posted above, but they are not final until doe is bred. Please visit our 2013 kids page to see what is available. We may have Milking Goats for sale after they have freshened and enough of our kids have sold ( we want to be sure we have enough milk for the kids and us ). We always reserve the right to retain any doe or buck for a replacement in our herd, but we will always try to post these ahead of time. To reserve a kid we require a $50.00 deposit via Paypal, money order or personal check. We will only hold the goat for 10 days while we are awaiting the deposit. We feel that this is sufficient time to mail us a check or money order. Should we not receive the deposit in that time frame, the goat shall be available to the next interested party. Deposits are non refundable unless you reserve a kid from a particular doe and that kid is not born. If the kid is born and you cancel your order, the deposit is non refundable. * We ask that CASH be paid at time of pickup (as of 2010 NO EXCEPTIONS will be made with this). All kids are bottle fed and will be disbudded around one week of age ( see our care program page for more info ). If you want a kid with horns we will require full purchase price up front and kid(s) must be picked up by one week of age. All registered kids will have received their tattoos prior to leaving the farm. Prices of kids will be as follows: (unless otherwise listed) Wethered males $75, Registered bucks $350 - 650 with papers, and unregistered bucks are conditionally available. Please Note: Intact Buck kid reservations will take precedence over wethers. Buck kids and wethers MUST be picked up by 4 weeks of age ( After 4 weeks of age buyer will be charged $10 per day until boarding exceeds $50 then deposit will be forfeited and the buck will be offered back up for sale ). Registered doe kids will be sold for $350 - 650. Milking does will be sold for $500 - $700. With all kids, receive a 10% discount if they are picked up by two weeks of age. All American Dairy Goat Association fees will be the responsibility of the BUYER. In addition to those fees BUYER is responsible for all shipping fees and handling costs, which include cost of crate, health papers, and my delivery fee to Roanoke airport which is $1.00 per loaded mile ( sorry but my truck is a 1 ton and has a V10 engine ) . Delivery is also locally available up to 100 miles one way for the same fee. All doe kids must be picked up by 8 weeks of age and if the doeling you purchased is not picked up by nine weeks of age, the buyer will be charged boarding fees of $25 per week, once you exceed 2 weeks ($50) you will forfeit your deposit and the kid will be listed for sale again. The only exceptions to the pick up dates/age that will be allowed are: if you are making multiple purchases and live more than 200 miles from our farm ( or you are shipping multiple kids: limit 2 per crate and the must be shipped prior to 6 weeks of age ) and you are waiting on your next kid(s) to be born. Exceptions must be worked out at time of reservation. Kids not shipped by 8 weeks of age, that have outstanding boarding/shipping related costs and or fees will be released back to Briar Mtn Farm and put back up for sale ( all monies and fees will be forfeited by the buyer to the seller and the animal will be considered abandoned ). We are now accepting deposits for goats using Paypal. We require a $50 deposit per goat. Please contact us prior to reserving to be sure that what you are interested in is available. I do try to keep my website updated regularly, but to avoid any confusion please contact me first by email. Also for buyers that would like to pay their balance with Paypal instead of cash, we do require that buyers cover the Paypal fees.
